Barclays execs score CEO positions

Former Barclays plc executive Naguib Kheraj is moving up to the top of the food chain, becoming the CEO of competing firm J.P. Morgan Cazenove Ltd.

Kheraj, who after a decade left Barclays last year to advise British regulator Financial Services Authority on the takeover of failed bank Northern Rock plc, has been named CEO of J.P. Morgan Cazenove's British investment bank. Kheraj is set to start in October.

In related news, Northern Rock, the stricken U.K. mortgage lender that was nationalized in February, also has a new hire. Gary Hoffman, a long-standing Barclays director, will be its new chief executive replacing Andy Kuipers in October. - Maria Woehr
