Sail Advisors hires Duhamel as CEO

Another executive at an investment bank joins a hedge fund. Sail Advisors Ltd., an Asia hedge fund manager, has tapped former Goldman, Sachs & Co. managing director Vincent Duhamel as CEO.

Duhamel, who worked in Goldman's asset management and sovereign wealth fund businesses in Hong Kong, will replace Sail's Eliza Lau as CEO.

Many executives at investment banks have been making moves over to hedge funds. On July 16, Erin Callan left Lehman Brothers Inc. to run Credit Suisse Group's global hedge fund business. Melissa Ko, a former Bear Stearns Cos. trader, has reportedly formed a new hedge fund. Also British hedge funds Collins Stewart and GLG Partners LP are said to be taking advantage of the cutbacks at U.S. investment banks and hiring away some top talent.
