Roll Call: Swiss Re in talks with Barclays arm

Swiss Re is apparently in discussions and conducting due diligence to acquire Barclays Life Assurance business, according to The Sunday Times. The division could be worth £400 million to £750 million ($798 million to $1.5 billion) . The business was created in 2003 when Woolwich Life and Barclays Life were merged. - Maria Woehr
