It will probably warm the hearts of corporate executives who were
tormented by Bill Lerach. The former Millberg Weiss LLP plaintiffs
class-action attorney, who was sentenced to 24 months in prison in
February after pleading guilty to paying kickbacks to the plaintiffs he
represented, has been busted for variant on the bribery concept,
according to The Recorder, a daily newspaper for lawyers in the San Francisco area.

The
Recorder quotes three unnamed sources saying that Lerach has been put
in "administrative segregation," which means being confined to a cell
for 23 hours a day at the federal prison compound in Lompoc, Calif.
Lerach, who is currently in the minimum security portion of Lompoc used
for other white-collar criminals, could be moved to a more restrictive
facility, The Recorder said, depending on the outcome of a prison
discliplinary hearing. -
