The financial markets are also mixed. J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. is up after the bank filed court documents with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. challenging bankrupt Washington Mutual Inc. on a claim of tax benefits stemming from its collapse. The bankrupt institution, which was recently acquired by J.P.  Morgan, wants to limit trading its common stock to protect a "consolidated net operating tax loss carryforwards" in excess of $20 billion, which would apply to a tax rebate. Meanwhile, Goldman, Sach & Co. is still down due to uncertainty revolving around the institution's future even though it recently announced new partners. - Maria Woehr
