International markets ended up Thursday with international banks back in the game. Asian markets surged with the Nikkei 225 average up almost 10%, ending the day at 9029.76. European stocks
ended up after a mish-mosh session. The FTSEurofirst 300 ended 0.2% higher at 899.25.

Bank news helped the financial sector surge.
Deutsche Bank AG had better-than-expected results for its third quarter. The bank profited by €93 million ($120 miilion) and write-downs of €1.2 billion. Meanwhile, Lloyds TSB Group plc unveiled the new management team of its recent deal with HBOS plc. Standard Chartered plc gained on the annoucement that it won't have high credit losses from U.S. financial institutions and it
expects steady growth.
