Eliot Spitzer's wife lands hedge fund job

SildaWallSpitzer.png New York Magazine reported that Silda Wall Spitzer joined Metropolitan Capital Advisors Ltd., a Manhattan hedge fund run by CNBC Fast Money panelist Karen Finerman. This marks a comeback for Wall Spitzer as she was once a prominent corporate attorney covering mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

Wall Spitzer also worked at Chase Manhattan Bank and has been involved with a number of charities, including co-founding Children for Children in 1996, a nonprofit organization promoting community involvement in youths. Now she will focus on luring investors for the real estate-focused fund.

The news comes less than a week after Wall Spitzer's husband and former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer avoided federal charges related to his involvement in a call girl ring. As for the former governor, NY Magazine wrote, he is also contemplating writing a book. - Baz Hiralal
