David Shapiro, a partner at KPS Capital Partners LP, was a panelist at the TMA/The Deal's Distressed Investing Conference in Las Vegas. In an interview after his panel, Shapiro told me that many companies will take advantage of the current economic environment and become more involved in distressed investing.
