Bleeding continues at General Motors

Posted on February 26, 2009 1:32 PM
General Motors Corp. said Thursday it lost $9.6 billion and bled through $6.2 billion in cash during the final three months of 2008 as weak sales offset an infusion of billions of dollars in government assistance.

For the year including charges, the company lost $30.9 billion -- or $85 million per day -- on sales of $149 billion. GM lost $43.3 billion, including charges, on $180 billion in revenue a year earlier.
