Microsoft picks up another Yahoo! search pro

Microsoft Corp. hasn't sealed a search deal with Yahoo! Inc. yet, but it has managed to scoop up a trio of its key search experts.

The latest hire is Larry Heck, who was previously employeed by Yahoo! to work on boosting the relevancy of search results. He is joining the software giant as a vice president.

Microsoft recently hired Qi Lu, who had been executive vice president of engineering for the search and advertising technology group at Yahoo!, to be president of the online services group. Microsoft also brought aboard Sean Suchter, a former vice president at Yahoo!. - Mary Kathleen Flynn
