Ruder spent eight years with Francisco Partners, focusing on investments in the software and services sectors. According to The Deal's Pipeline, he was involved in Francisco investments in Aconex, an Australian IT company, video game developer Foundation 9 and enterprise software startup Primavera Systems.

Meanwhile, Chizen, who served as CEO of Adobe Systems between 2000 and 2007, is no stranger to dealmaking as he was responsible for the software company's $3.4 billion purchase of Macromedia in 2005, noted Corporate Dealmaker.

Joining the two in Silicon Valley is partner Richard Sanders, who is relocating to Menlo Park, Calif., to lead the team after nine years working on technology and technology-related investments from the London office. - Baz Hiralal
