PNC Financial Services Group Inc.'s (NYSE:PNC) wealth management business is apparently looking for a few good advisers. The bank hopes to hire approximately 350 in the next several months, according to
America Banker.
The firm hopes to take advantage of the recently layoffs big brokerages have been making to hire advisers that can help expand its product lines as it integrates recently acquired National City Corp.
Michael Mortensen, the president of PNC Investments told American Banker. "We
have the opportunity to grow our sales force close to 1,000 financial
advisers and 1,500 licensed bankers," he said in an interview. "It's a
huge opportunity for us."
