Madoff centerpiece of scammer trading card set

Madoffradingcard125x100.gifHow many Jeff Skilling trading cards would you exchange for a Bernie Madoff? It depends on how much you value or loathe each, but it's an exchange trading card hobbyist could be partaking in as soon as this summer.

Looking to capitalize on the rise of financial fraudsters, privately held Topps Co. will in June be offering a set of trading cards it dubs the "world's biggest hoaxes, hoodwinks and bamboozles" of the last two centuries. The company says the card set features 20 perpetrators including Madoff, Charles Ponzi and D.B. Cooper.

With the increase of corporate fraud recently, Topps could certainly expand its collection to more than 20. We'll have to wait till June to see the full set and the marketplace's reception to the specialty cards. If Madoff can get a trading card, one has to wonder what's next.
