CEOs pay depends on bailout amount

bonus125.gifIt appears that CEOs that were paid the most also accepted the largest bailout packages from the Treasury. The Wall Street Journal's slide show comparing government aid and CEO compensation is brilliant. No wonder Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) CEO Vikram Pandit didn't mind taking a $1 salary and no bonus. He cashed in on $37.3 million worth of long-term incentives after being Citi's CEO a year. Pandit's pay topped all of the other bailed-out bank's executives' compensation packages. Now the question is: Will the investment in Citi and Pandit pay off in the long term? - Maria Woehr
