GM to issue update on revamp

Posted on April 17, 2009 4:48 PM
After two weeks of slow media leaks about its future, General Motors Corp. is scheduled Friday, April 17, to hold a press briefing at which it is expected to provide an update about its ongoing restructuring efforts.

GM said the briefing would be the "first of a series" designed to keep the public up to date on its progress. It will be the first major press gathering for CEO Fritz Henderson since an introductory meeting held in late March when he took over from Rick Wagoner.
