Pontiac, GMC may go

General Motors Corp. is reportedly under pressure from government officials to shed its GMC and Pontiac brands as part of the automaker's ongoing restructuring.

GM has been in constant talks in recent weeks with a White House automotive task force that has pledged to stop funding losses at GM by June 1 if the company cannot win concessions from creditors and unions and present a viable revitalization plan.
