Tropicana AC enters Chapter 11 to sell casino

The Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., has officially hit the bankruptcy auction block, with a group led by Credit Suisse Group and billionaire financier Carl Icahn ready to pounce.

Shortly after getting the go-ahead from the New Jersey Casino Control Commission to sell its assets in Chapter 11, the Garden State's largest casino filed a bankruptcy petition on Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey in Camden.
