Discontinued dealers left holding big bag

The roughly 780 Chrysler dealers whose franchises would be canceled under the car manufacturer's bankruptcy will be losing more than their businesses. They also stand to lose their shirts on up to three months of inventory clogging their lots.

Chrysler LLC filed a motion Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District in New York seeking to sever contracts with 25% of its dealerships.
