 More bad news for bankers this Wednesday. The latest banks to announce layoffs include Bank of Montreal Financial Group (NYSE:BMO), Sovereign Bank (NYSE:SOV) and Harris Bankcorp. - Sovereign Bank will lay off another 81 full-time employees in its motor vehicle financing unit in July, according to the Hartford Courant.
- Subsidiary of BMO, Harris Bankcorp Inc., is cutting about 60 management positions as part of the layoffs its parent is conducting, according to Chicago Business.
