Reports: Magna wins Opel

Several media outlets are reporting that Canadian auto parts maker Magna International Inc. is very close to a deal to buy General Motors Corp.'s troubled European unit, Adam Opel GmbH.

Reuters on Friday quoted a source as saying that a "framework agreement" has been reached, but as yet no memo of understanding has been signed.
