Posted on June 3, 2009 2:44 PM
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York will hear arguments from three Indiana pension funds that are appealing the sale of bankrupt Chrysler LLC to Italian automaker Fiat SpA.

On Tuesday, a New York bankruptcy judge ruled that the appeal would go straight to the appeals court. According to a statement from the Indiana state treasurer's office, the bankruptcy sale scheduled to close at noon on Friday will not occur. Oral arguments for the appeal are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday.
