Canadian fertilizer supplier Agrium Inc. said Tuesday, June 23, that it has received support from investors holding 62% of CF Industries Holdings Inc.'s stock and will push on with a $4.1 billion hostile bid.

The Calgary, Alberta, company has been trying for months to block Deerfield, Ill.-based CF's hostile bid for Terra Industries Inc. Agrium's strategy was to bid for CF to derail its takeover of Sioux City, Iowa-based Terra.
