MediciNova finally gets Avigen (Dealscape

The drama at Avigen Inc. appears to be nearing its conclusion. The Alameda, Calif., biotechnology company has hammered out key provisions of an agreement with San Diego peer MediciNova Inc., the companies announced Thursday.

A deal, estimated at about $38.7 million, would complete a six-month-long auction process that included several nasty allegations between the two parties.
