Premier League issues Setanta deadline

Beleaguered Setanta Sports Holdings Ltd. will lose its license to transmit key English soccer matches, unless it makes a payment of £10 million ($16.4 million) to the English Premier League by Friday, June 19.

"The Premier League has notified Setanta that if necessary the existing license agreement between us will be terminated, coming into effect if Setanta does not meet certain contractual requirements of the Premier League on or before Friday, June 19th, 2009," the Premier League said in a statement.
