Posted on June 29, 2009 1:59 PM
Jerry Reinsdorf has officially joined the pursuit for the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes. Reinsdorf, who owns the National Basketball Association's Chicago Bulls and Major League Baseball's Chicago White Sox, submitted a term sheet for the Coyotes by the Friday bidding deadline established by Judge Redfield Baum Sr. of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona in Phoenix.

According to the terms, Reinsdorf is leading a group called Glendale Hockey LLC and Glendale Arena LLC that is offering as much as $148 million for the Coyotes and arena rights at the Jobing.com arena, where the team plays.
