Finance Layoffs: RBS and Corus Bank

Bad news for bankers and lawyers specializing in finance. The latest rumors of layoffs are at Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc (NYSE:RBS) and Corus Bank.

• RBS is closing its overseas commercial property unit. No word on if any employees will be laid off, according to Bloomberg.

• Corus Bank was shut down over the weekend. The bank's deposits were assumed by MB Financial Bank. No word if employees will be laid off as the banks are integrated.
