Bailed-out execs to lose $5M apiece on pay

The Obama administration's corporate pay czar on Thursday whacked millions of dollars in salaries and bonuses slated to be received by 175 executives at seven companies that had received the largest sums of federal bailout money.

Kenneth Feinberg, the government's special master for executive compensation, single-handedly slashed more than $878 million in total compensation from the corporate chieftains, which on average will cost them more than $5 million apiece, compared with their 2008 paychecks.
