Ancestry.com Inc., a portfolio company of buyout shop Spectrum Equity Investors LP, has priced its initial public offering at $13.50, the midpoint of its announced range, meaning the offering will raise about $100 million.
The Provo, Utah-based company, whose Web site lets customers track their family roots using online records, said Wednesday that its stock would begin trading Thursday on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol ACOM. The company was founded in 1983 as a genealogy newsletter. It had 1 million subscribers as of September. This is a free content preview.
