BC Partners to buy ATI

Posted on November 10, 2009 2:00 PM
London buyout shop BC Partners Ltd. agreed Tuesday to buy Dallas-based ATI Career Training Center from a consortium led by U.S. private equity firms Riverside Co. of New York and Primus Capital Funds of Cleveland. The price was not disclosed, but an informed source said the deal has an enterprise value of about $500 million.

Like other financial investors looking to exploit opportunities in what economists call the jobless recovery, BC Partners believes ATI serves an expanding market that provides services to students looking for new skills to help them find employment.
