The best-performing hedge funds

  Share     E-Mail    Discussion    Print Story
It's that time again. Yes folks, back for a second installation are some of the best-performing hedge funds of 2009, according to documents obtained by The Deal. Aside from higher returns, the lineup has changed noticeably little since last time we posted. The returns were gathered between Sept. 30 and Oct. 31.

And as we said before, it's important to keep in mind that many of the best-performing funds have had extreme down periods too due to the nature of their strategies. Case in point: This year's top strategy, distressed fund Turnberry Capital International, also graced the worst-performing funds list in 2008, returning -68.71%. - Sara Behunek

To modify or not to modify

Whether a lender modifies a loan will depend on such factors as credit, regulatory, accounting and legal considerations in connection with a potential debt modification.
