Investment banks are submitting proposals to AIG to coordinate American International Assurance's public listing in Asia in 2010.


AIG's 'fire sale' is heating up

AIG could announce more asset sales to pay off its $150 bailout. Bidders for its Philamlife unit have until Feb. 23 to submit their bids, and the sales could happen the first week of March, according to Reuters.


Bank of China to throw water on AIG asset sale?

Bank of China Ltd. isn't bidding for American International Assurance, but it was the preferred bidder heading into the process, according to reports by Dow Jones and the Financial Times.
