As President-elect Barack Obama convenes his economic team to discuss the state of the U.S. economy, one name on the list, Paul Volcker, might seem unusual at this moment in time. Volcker, the former Federal Reserve chairman under Presidents Carter and Reagan, may be considered for treasury secretary.
