Barclays reportedly has agreed to buy Lehman unit

U.K. bank Barclays plc has agreed to acquire some of the assets of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., the Financial Times reported Tuesday.Earlier in the day the London-based lender confirmed that it was in talks, which began a day after the Lehman holding company filed for bankruptcy protection. Over the weekend Barclays walked away from a potential bid for Lehman at emergency meetings held at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York headquarters. A Barclays spokeswoman in London declined to comment on the FT report....
