Wall street's financial sponsor groups were in fine fettle during the run-up to the credit crisis, but now they eye smaller deals, look overseas for new business and prepare for the day when big buyouts return.
The Deal's Amy Wu reported that Aurora Capital Group spent nearly a year before making a $487 million offer for NuCO2 Inc. on Jan. 30. Now, NuCO2's go-shop period expires Friday, and if everything goes as expected the buyout shop will be one step closer to acquiring the provider of carbonated fizz for the soda industry.
