The Deal's Amy Wu reported that Aurora Capital Group spent nearly a year before making a $487 million offer for NuCO2 Inc. on Jan. 30. Now, NuCO2's go-shop period expires Friday, and if everything goes as expected the buyout shop will be one step closer to acquiring the provider of carbonated fizz for the soda industry. Experts say one of the biggest hurdles of the deal was finding the financing during this credit crunch.
