Clear Channel closes TV station deal with Providence

With the threat of complex litigation looming, Clear Channel Communications Inc. said it closed the $1.1 billion sale of its television unit to an affiliate of Providence Equity Partners, on Friday, March 14. Providence also confirmed the deal, but put the price at $1.012 billion with working capital adjustments.
