DemandTec pays $13.7M for Connect3

DemandTec Inc. [DMAN], a business optimization software developer, agreed late Monday to acquire Connect3 Systems Inc. for $13.7 million in cash.

Connect3 claims that its software helps retailers improve the efficiency and effectiveness of cross-channel and cross-media promotions. The startup, headquartered in Los Angeles, is employee-owned.

DemandTec said it would integrate Connect3's solution into its on-demand promotion process management software. -- Olaf de Senerpont Domis
