Touchscreen iPod is on the way

Why isn't Steve Jobs worried about the Zune? According to this story from Trusted Reviews, it's because Apple's next version of the iPod will blow it out of the water.

The story, which quotes an unidentified executive who works for a company which works closely with Apple, the upcoming 6GB iPod which is set to be released in December will have a widescreen display which takes up the entire front of the device. The controls will be on the screen itself. The Zune is going to have a smaller screen with a 4:3 display ratio. No word on whether the iPod will have Wi-Fi, but that's not really a make-or-break feature considering the Zune is only going to be able to connect to other Zune devices using the technology. — Brian Ward
