Google closes YouTube, watch my initial take of the deal

Google closed its YouTube acquisition faster than I could figure out how to upload the video from my appearance last month on CNBC.

No online video site would take the original IFO file format that contained the interview I did a few hours before Google's $1.65 billion acquisition of YouTube was originally announced. When I finally obtained the file in MOV file format, YouTube prohibited the uploading of any television show to its site. Then, VideoEgg couldn't handle the basic edits I made in order to get the video below the site's required five minutes. So, this morning, I joined JumpCut, a video editing service purchased by Yahoo in September. I had my desired edits done in a matter of minutes.

So here it is. While it may be 4 weeks late, it is one of the few CNBC spots that mention the words 'party pics' and 'Romanian pop music' in a five minute stretch, so give it a watch:
