eBay may do another deal

News resurfaced this week that online auction leader eBay is in talks to buy Web-surfing review site StumbleUpon for roughly $75 million, Reuters said Tuesday, citing an unnamed source. TechCrunch and GigaOm reported on April 18 that eBay was in talks to acquire the startup, which is funded by Google Inc. and other high-tech stars, including Josh Kopelman, founder of Half.com, which was acquired by eBay in 2000, Reuters said. StumbleUpon Inc. recommends Web pages within sites like MySpace and YouTube, and says it has 2.3 million users. In February, San Jose-based eBay acquired event ticket reseller StubHub, for $307 million, according TheDeal.com reported. Cheryl Meyer
