4G networks provider WiChorus raises $18 million

wichorus.jpgWiChorus Inc., a maker of 4G infrastructure products, on Tuesday said it raised $18 million in an oversubscribed Series C round of funding. Pinnacle Ventures led the round, with participation from current investors Redpoint Ventures, Mayfield Fund and Accel Partners.

WiChorus' SmartCore platforms allow wireless operators to deploy WiMAX and other next-generation platforms for 4G networks and provide subscriber management, content management and network optimization. -- David Shabelman
