Machinima nabs $3.8 million for gaming site

  Share     E-Mail    Discussion    Print Story

Machinima Inc., whose Web site shows videos of video games, on Thursday said it raised $3.85 million from MK Capital and other private investors to help fund its expansion. Machinima.com has a fairly straight forward concept and business model--game makers pay it to run videos to promote their games. It also makes its own computer-generated animation videos based on games, some of which are very clever. The company serves more than 30 million videos per month. -- David Shabelman
