An exit for Flybridge, Polaris and CRV

Oracle Corp. [ORCL] provided an exit for several VCs today, announcing the acquisition of application management startup mValent Inc. for undisclosed terms.

The startup, which develops software that automates the management of enterprises' applications, has received backing from Flybridge Capital Partners, Polaris Venture Partners, and Charles River Ventures.

Oracle said the deal will build on its acquisitions of ClearApp, Empirix, Moniforce and Auptyma.
The deal is set to close during the first half of 2009. -- Olaf de Senerpont Domis
