A Sept. 26 post on Tech Confidential ("Tulip to buy bankrupt Commodore") wrongly identified Commodore International Corp. of Baarn, The Netherlands, as a West Chester, Pa., company of the same name that went bankrupt in 1994. Although the Commodore brand name is the same, the companies are otherwise unrelated. The post also mistakenly said that Commodore International had agreed to be acquired by Dutch computer maker Tulip Computers NV for $1 a share. In a Sept. 26 press release, Commodore said Tulip intended to acquire all of its outstanding common shares, but noted that they are only discussing the offer and that Commodore plans to present it to shareholders at the company's annual meeting, scheduled for late October.
