W2 Group
Waltham, Mass.-based W2 Group Inc. has received a $30 million investment from Cambridge, Mass.-based private equity firm Monitor Clipper Partners. Founded in 2004, W2 Group is a marketing holding company focused on Web 2.0 services. The money will be used to grow W2 Group organically and through acquisition in its efforts to become a "dominant player" in the Web 2.0 market. The initial use of the proceeds will be to strengthen and expand the capabilities of two of its existing companies: social media marketing company Digital Influence Group and Racepoint Group, a public relations agency. --G.W.

Syntaxin
Drugmaker Syntaxin Ltd. has secured a £16 million ($33.2 million) Series B funding to advance its lead candidate. The company is developing biologic drugs that control cell secretion to address unmet clinical needs in the treatment of pain, nervous, respiratory and metabolic disorders. The round was co-led by new investors SR One of West Conshohocken, Pa., and Life Science Partners of Amsterdam, joined by existing shareholder Abingworth of London. New investors Johnson & Johnson Development Corp. of New Brunswick, N.J., and Quest for Growth of the Netherlands also participated in the financing. --G.W.

Printo
Shantinagar, Karnatka, India-based Printo Document Services Pvt. Ltd. has received a 250 million rupee ($6.33 million) investment from Sequoia Capital of Menlo Park, Calif. The proceeds will be used for the company's Indian national expansion plans. Founded in 2006, Printo is an Indian print and document services chain. --G.W.

LED Lighting Fixtures
LED Lighting Fixtures Inc. of Morrisville, N.C., a developer of light fixtures for general illumination using light-emitting diode, or LED, sources, has raised $16.5 million. The round was led by Digital Power Capital LLC, a Wexford Capital fund. LLF plans to use the proceeds to expand its product line as well as for research and development efforts. n --G.W.
