Software testing firm uTest raises $5 million

utest.jpgOn-demand software testing firm uTest Inc. on Tuesday announced it has raised $5 million in Series B financing. The round was led by new investors Longworth Venture Partners and Egan-Managed Capital, with participation from previous investors Mesco Ltd. and the Massachusetts Technology Development Corp.

uTest claims to have assembled the first, the only and the largest on-demand pool of professional software testers to deliver a complete range of testing services, including functionality, usability, load and performance testing throughout the product development lifecycle. The Massachusetts'-based company raised $2.3 million in first-round funding last year. -- David Shabelman
