Postini exit benefits August, Summit, Mobius and Bessemer

Google's accelerated acquisition pace is good news for venture capitalists. The search company's $625 million acquisition of Postini announced today benefits a number of investors and marks its second purchase of a security startup in the past two months.

Postini shareholders include August Capital, Mobius Venture Capital, Sun Microsystems, Summit Partners, AltoTech Ventures, Pacifica Fund and Bessemer Venture Partners. The company has raised $35 million overall. Bessemer led the Series D in 2003, Mobius led the Series C round, Summit Partners led Series B and August led Series A.
