Venture capital investment in China rose 47% to $361.1 million in the third quarter of this year from the same period in 2005, according to VentureOne. Interestingly, deal volumes and numbers decreased from the second quarter of 2006 suggesting that investment may have peaked for now.

There were 54 investments recorded during the quarter. Here's a list of TheVCDeal's three largest venture investments in China from July to September 2006:

1) Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment Inc. - $35 million
2) Dangdang - $27 million
3) VeriSilicon Holdings Co. Ltd. - $14.80
