Web analytics firm iPerceptions gets $3.65M

Customer analytics software provider iPerceptions Inc. has raised $3.65 million from entrepreneur Skuli Morgensen and previous investor Telesystem Inc., a Canadian venture fund.

The eight-year-old company helps clients optimize Web sites by analyzing customer feedback. It also offers research on e-commerce trends. In October, for example, it released an interesting study that found that only 11% of consumers tend to click on video advertising links. Consumers instead are most likely to click on simple text ads, the report found.

Earlier this year iPerceptions acquired Repindex Ltd., a text analysis technology developer, for undisclosed terms.

Morgensen was founder and CEO of mobile e-mail and instant messaging company OZ Communications Inc., which was acquired in November by Nokia Corp. [NOK]. - Olaf de Senerpont Domis
