3leaf.jpgComputer virtualization software developer 3Leaf Systems Inc. has drawn another big round and another key strategic investor from the semiconductor industry. The four-year-old startup on Monday said it raised a $35 million Series C financing led by Silicon Valley chipmaker LSI Corp. [LSI].

The round follows a $20 million Series B that closed last year and was led by Intel Capital. Intel Corp.'s [INTC] venture arm, as well as 3Leaf's other previous investors Alloy Ventures, Enterprise Partners Venture Capital and Storm Ventures, participated in the latest round, which brings the total raised to about $68 million.

3Leaf's technology helps to simplify the allocation of data center resources for enterprises, and aids in the deployment and management of server resources. - Olaf de Senerpont Domis
