rollstream.jpgRollStream Inc., a maker of software that facilitates communication and collaboration across companies' supply chains, has raised a $6 million Series B round led by Core Capital Partners. Also participating in the round is previous investor Grotech Ventures.

The startup's hosted software promotes so-called enterprise community management, which aims to reduce costs by speeding communication among manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and customers, RollStream said.

The Fairfax, Va.-based company said it has 20,000 registered trading partners and 50,000 individual contacts among several vertical industries. The funding will be used to boost product development and the company's growth throughout North America.

In conjunction with the deal, Core Capital managing director Will Dunbar will join RollStream's board. - Olaf de Senerpont Domis
